Hi Dave, On behalf of the committee and our membership I would like to thank you for coming to Boston u3a today and presenting your talk on Antarctica. It was an enthralling talk accompanied by some wonderful photographs and video clips. When I looked around the room, you had clearly connected with the membership with your passion for Antarctica coming through in the talk. Thank you again and best wishes for your future travels and Antarctica talks. Kind regards Keith

Dear Dave,
First of all, thanks for the really good presentation you gave us on 20th April.
I have had quite a few saying they would like to hear more, with which I concur
I noticed that you had quite a few who came up after to talk to you.
So, I was wondering whether you could return next year to give us your other talk.
The 15th March 2027 is still not taken, or failing that there are other dates later in the year.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Peter. Bourne U3A Speaker finder.

Dave, It is a pleasure to pass on the thanks of Kibworth u3a for your informative, entertaining and mind-expanding talk.

Your combination of stunning pictures and telling detail was appreciated by all of us, especially those, like me, who dream of a trip to Antarctica but have yet to pluck up the courage to go.

Best regards,

John

Hello Dave

Thank you for coming to Cambourne U3A today and giving such a great talk.  It showed the beauty of Antarctica and the wildlife there.  The penguins were a comedy show in themselves.  The march of the penguins with the ‘leader’ directing them still brings me a smile.  Also, your enjoyable time on the boat made us very envious in the hope that we could do the same thing one day.

It was a perfect talk in every way with excellent photography and very clear delivery.  You didn’t even use notes!  All of members there were very enthusiastic in a similar way.  So thank you once again.

I have no doubt that you will be asked to come again with your talk on Ernest Shackleton being on the schedule.  My successor Kate for sure will be in touch with you.

With kind regards,

Christine

Our guest speaker Dave Pinion entertained us with his informative and enjoyable talk this afternoon. 'My Amazing Journey to Antarctica',

Hi Dave, we spoke briefly after your talk yesterday about the possibility of you giving a similar talk to the Huntingdonshire RSPB
Local Group sometime in 2026. Obviously we would be interested to hear about the birds and wildlife you saw but I think your story of the whole trip, the history, the attention to safety and of course the weather would all interest our members.

Your talk last year received favourable comments. I think it would be lovely if you were to come and talk to us again.  Peterborough U3A

I would definitely be interested (in your next talk) as
the talk you gave was well received and I had many positive comments. St Ives U3A

Hi Dave,
Really enjoyed your talk on Antarctica at yesterday's U3a meeting in Wisbech. The photos are absolutely lovely of Antarctica and it's wildlife, and your
recollections of your trip was delivered in a humorous and very knowledgeable manner. I definitely learnt a great deal.

You certainly are making the most of the challenges that Antartica gives you. Spalding U3A
